So I was doing the Windows XP SP3 update, right, and everything was going smoothly. It looked like I had completed it and everyything was fine, but something when wrong AFTER I had finished the update.

The morning after, when I went to use my computer, neither the mouse nor the keyboard would respond. I wiggled the mouse, but the cursor remained at the center of the screen. I tapped the Windows logo key, but the Start menu did not open.

My computer was frakked.

It was the Frakkin' cylons! I swear!

Now, normally this wouldn't be a big deal. Reinstall windows, and be done with it.

My OS disc? Nowhere to be found.

My recovery partition? I'd gotten rid of that wheni got the actual XP OS disc.

And so, I took my computer in to Best Buy. They're reformatting it, and getting it up and running again, but that's not the worst of my problems. The email account I created my original DevArt account with is history. My ex-wife hacked it, so I cancelled it, so I couldn't recover my password.
